Coaching has led me to consider unexpected next steps in my career, based on realization of what is important to me, what will help make me successful and what is unavoidable in any successful career, whether as a senior leader or as an individual contributor.
I wasn’t sure what to expect in the beginning, but I put my trust in her and the process, did the work (e.g. implemented her recommendations) and am exceedingly pleased with the results. Would definitely recommend.
I would say that Katy quickly fostered an atmosphere of trust which allowed the coaching sessions to flow freely. I do not feel that I am a person who likes to share with others, but found in almost every session that that time had flown by before I was ready for them to end.
This was an incredible opportunity to reflect on my management and leadership style, and clarify how to be a more effective role model and team member.
I had the opportunity to see myself through a different lens. I feel there was a breakthrough in the realization that I had opportunities in embracing a growth mindset approach in conversations. Katy provided specific tactics that I found pivotal to helping me modify my undesired behavior in those circumstances-and adapting to fit the culture of my current company (which was a huge change from my prior companies where I had regular C-level interface);
It’s been really valuable to take time with an unbiased coach. I work in an extremely competitive environment, and it’s been difficult to receive constructive, action-orientated feedback.
